Still remember my old post How important site tracking on your site? Now I will try to make it easier to understand.

I often said that the most important thing of blogger is visitor. Without them, blog is like a grave yard. It useless if you write article and no one will read it.

Thats why you should  go through the effort to track and analyze your web site traffic. Not only as simple as “ 6226 visitor in  Mar 2009″, but also anything about your site or your site traffic.

The importance of tracking your site traffic lies in the fact that proper web traffic analytics will help you answer these key questions:

Am I reaching my target market?

If you creating blog with certain theme, what kind of visitor you want to get. For example, if I create blog about cosplay, I wish people who come will be cosplayer. Thats why we need tracking to see if our target already reached.

How are people interacting with my site?

Sure, people are coming to your web site. But what are they doing there? Do they hit the home page and leave? Do they go immediately to your free section and never browse your sale items? Do 90% of the people who click on your online payment form subsequently abandon it?

Tracking your site traffic will allow you to see how people proceed through your site, where they spend their time, what they do, and any problems they may be encountering. And that information can help you significantly improve their user experience – and your sales.

Where is my site traffic coming from?

To drive traffic to your site, you are likely engaged in multiple marketing efforts. You may have search engine optimized your content, engaged in article marketing, and developed reciprocal links from key partners. You may be involved in a pay-per-click campaign. Perhaps you also explored email marketing or print advertising.

Web traffic analytics will tell you exactly how successful each and every one of those marketing efforts is. You will then be able to cut the fat from your marketing plan and focus on the most strategic and productive campaigns.

What trends do I see?

If I know people who come to my blog looking for aegisub tutorial, I will creating it to them. If so many people come to my blog because of SEO article, I will often write about it. It will help you to get what article is the best for your blog.

If you still not use it, use it now!

My Alexa rank keep dropping day by day. I confused why it is happen since my tracking report said no significant change with my traffic. Oh well. T_TOff course all blog/website need traffic. Have huge traffic is every blogger desire right?

Why is this?

Well, experience shows that returning visitors are much easier to convert into paying customers because the more often they return to a site, the more trust they have in that site. The whole issue of credibility disappears.

So what do you need to do to keep your visitors coming back and visiting your site?

I found great article that describe how to keep your visitor comming back at your blog:

1) You could consider starting a forum, chat room or shout box.

Providing a forum, chat room or shout box, allows your visitors to have a voice where they can share their opinions and interact with their peers — all of them visitors of your site.

make your visitor feel needed not only as a passive reader able to make them feel comfortable.

2) This probably goes without saying , but starting a blog can be a fantastic source for both new and recurring traffic.

Having your own blog is like keeping an online journal, and human beings are curious and thirsty for information. You need to keep your blog frequently updated with your latest news, both business and personal.

You will find that over time more and more people will come back to read your posts and with it you will develop credibility as an authority figure in your niche.

3) How about carrying out polls or surveys?

You will note that so far all the suggestions made have had some form of visitor interaction and conducting polls and surveys is no different. This is one that you should definitely consider adding to your site.

When I make journal at my DeviantArt only few people commenting. But when I made poll, most people take a poll.

So I need more traffic. Its my fault not able to update my blog regularly because my teaching schedule is full. T_T My Alexa rank drop from 136k into 152k. So sad. The reason is my traffic is dropping 50-100 Unique visitor than it used to be. So sad. T_TThis is the lifeblood of the business. No traffic – No business, More traffic – More sales

The question is – How do you get this highly targeted web site traffic.

I found a list some of the most popular methods to gain traffic.

1. Pay-Per-Click (PPC)

Of all the pay per click search engines, Google Adwords is the largest and most popular.

This method, when done correctly, will increase your exposure, and give fast results. You must keep up to date with Google’s rules, so be sure to read them. You pay a one off fee when you register and set up your campaign. You can have your campaign up and running in minutes. There is a minimum bid, but of course you will have to pay more than this. But the beauty of Adwords is you can set a daily budget of how much you are willing to spend.

2. Link popularity

This is achieved when other sites have links to your site. If a high traffic site has links, the search engines perceive both sites must be popular. The important thing is to have quality web sites linking back to your site.

Exchange link, create quality content it will help you to gain link popularity.

3. Reciprocal Links

This is where you exchange links with other quality sites. You can create a links page on your site. This create a resource that visitors will want to return to. Find quality (there’s that word again) web sites related to your subject and contact the webmaster about exchanging links.

So sorry can not update and blog walking since last Saturday. My sister need PC very much to finish her homework. She has a lot of home work (hugs her). I’m sorry can not visiting your blog. But I really hope I can visiting you normally.

Btw I found an article that might suitable for you. Its about “Where does traffic come to your site”

1. Pay For It.

You can buy traffic typically using what is known as Pay Per Click advertising. The major names in this market are Google and their AdWords program and Yahoo Network Sponsored Search. There are many smaller companies around also but they all follow the same premise.

You create your account, grab a bunch of keywords and create your adverts. You can define the amount you want to spend per click or per day, what geographical areas you want your adverts to appear in and even what time they should appear.

The price you pay for each individual click depends on a variety of conditions such as how many other people are competing on that keyword. The more competition the more it costs to be higher up the ranks. The position you want to occupy. The percentage of people who click on your advert, the list goes on.

Pay Per Click advertising can be very successful but has a steep learning curve, it is essential that you do lots of research into your chosen Pay Per Click vender and in the niche you are in.

2. Borrow It.
