I think I often write this. But oh well, since most people want to know how I can get traffic, I try to explain it based on my knowledge.

There is many way to gain traffic to your site. I will try to separated it into Do and Dont section. Hope U can understand.

A. Promote it!

Do
1. Put you website in forum discussion’s signature, email signature, Messenger status. People will see your web URL every time you post, get email from you or see you online. I think its the best way to promoting your site without need to do difficult thing.

Dont
1. Spamming. Never ever do this. For example, you only become a luxer (Some one who sign up only for posting about your website and then gone) at forum discussion or email groups. People will not respect you and often decline your promotion material. Never send email that promote you site to many people at same time. It almost useless since most mail provider such as yahoo, will identified it as spam and put it into bulk folder. Most people will click ‘empty’ button without check it.

B. Visits others

Do
1. What do U feel when someone visiting your site and commenting at you post? You will feel very happy right? So do the same thing to make people happy too. It need a little bit effort if you have a tons of friends. But why not? Gain your knowledge by read other people article. And usually they will b do the same thing to you. You will have ‘loyal visitor’ from this method. Loyal visitor mean visitor who always visit your site even when you are cant visit them for few days.

Dont

1. Visit others but only said “Yo!”, “Greeting”, “Please visit my site”, “nice site” and simple world like that and never come back. Thy will visit Ur site once and never come back too. Sometimes if I’m busy, I also did that. lol But I try my best to commenting their article if my internet allowed me to do so. If you have fast internet connection, why dont U spend 3-4 minutes to read their article and comment it. Not only leaving msg without meaning at other people blog. Most people will comment to article if they got your comment in their article. ^^
2. Pay people to visit you. Have U ever read about “spend xx$ and you will get 1.000.000 visitor instantly?” Do U trust that? I dont. Its up to you if you want to use it. But one think that I tell is “U dont know who are the visitor.” U dont know are they really need to visit your site or only use ‘auto rotator’ to visit your site without see Ur site content. It useless to me who want to gain ‘real visitor’ who want read my article.

C. Make Original Topic that most searched by people

Do
1. Find out what kind of topic that people need in internet and you understand about it. MAKE IT! If you dont have enough knowledge about it, you can search with search engine. Combine many source to make a great article.

Dont
1. Copy and paste other people article and admit it as yours. You can ask them to put their article on their site. Most writer will feel flattered and will allowed you. Actually try to reduce “copy paste” content at your blog even you already put the original author link or name. Now I try to reduce my copy paste article. Some times I dont have time to make a new article based on some one article. So I only copy it. Thats why my site still rejected from PTP. Ahahahah
2. TYPO! Man.. this is my main problems. Wrong grammar and structure, wrong at typing will make your visitor run away because confusing or think you are not professional. I try hard to fix this problem at my blog. I have lack knowledge in grammar and have trouble with my finger. lol

D. Submit your site at search Engine

Do
1. Submit it into popular search engine like google, yahoo etc. U can use http://www.mypagerank.net/ to submit your site to many site in one time. Maybe you will not get direct effect with it. But if you realized, if when people looking for some topic on search engine and see your site, you will get traffic. And people who come from Search Engine is the most wanted visitor! Google Adsense really like it. And mostly, if you get visitor from Search engine more than 70% from your whole visitor statistic, you will be save from banned.

Dont
1. Submit at same search engine too often. Most Search engine give break time around a week before thy allowed you to submit same site again. beside, if your site not indexed yet at search engine, try to use SEO method.

E. Submit your blog into many blog directory

Do
1. Submit your blog and blog article at many blog directory such as technocraty, mybloglog, dig it etc will give you a change to get new visitor. I get 6% visitor come from blog directory. Not bad huh? ^^

Dont
1. Put too many heavy blog directory widget at your blog. Unless it a must avoid to put heavy widget at your blog. It will slow down your blog and make people leave your sit before they read your great article. Or promote article at article submission that not Ur own article

F. Exchange Link

Do
1. Ask pople to put your link at their site and you will do the same. Beside to increased backlink, it able to make visitor at your friends site might click your link and visiting you

Dont
1. Dont cheat people! If they already put your name, put their name ASAP! I got trouble with this blog blogroll. At dashboard I can see there is so many link but doesnt appear in front even I already put the PHP code. So, if U also have case like this, put their link into another blog that U own. Or if you dont have a blog, make a single page to put all their link. never remove other popl link unless they also removed your site. Play fair and I think every body will like that ^^
