1. Open Our Photos with Adobe Photoshop. I use this image. Now we want to make Glowing effect.

2. Press Ctrl+J (duplicate layer), and you got 2 layers

3. Choose Filter -> blur -> Gaussian Blur Set it 5 px (at duplicate layer)

4. Change the blending mode into SCREEN

5. You can see that the image is too bright. Ctrl + L and U can manage the light

6. Now make new layer (Ctr+Sift+N) and Press D after that press X (Make white as foreground). Use brush (Press B) and choose Smooth Brush with size 200. Make the opacity of brush 80%

1. I was read this tutorial from some site. I forgot the site. So now I try to use same picture and re write the tutorial.

2. With Rectangular marquee tools, select her hair like this

3. Press Ctrl+Alt+D (feather the selection-fill 5px) and duplicate the selection (Ctrl+J)

4. Press ctrl+L (Setting level) and use this setting (it’s not exsact point). U can change as long as U think its nice to see ^^

5. Change the layer mode into EXCLUSION and press ctrl+J after that

6. In the latest layer, change the mode into LINEAR DODGE.

I got BIG TROUBLE with my international connection. I cant open my
own blog nor visiting other blog ( I can post but to make this post
I made aropund 4 hours to load my osting page). I dont know when will my
connection fixed. But mean while, I cant visit yoursite so often like
used to be. Hope you can understand. If I have time when I’m teaching,
I’ll blogwalking.

Now I give you how to make X FILES glowing font
using channel. Actually, without channel U also able to do this. but for
me, its easiest way to understand what is channel selection at Adobe
Photoshop ^^

If you have any question, pls feel free to ask

1. Open
Adobe Photoshop and press D (Restore foreground and background into black and white) after that
press X (Change white into foreground).

2. Press ctrl+N and make file 300px x 300px and set background content with background color

3. Use VERDANA font size 180px, BOLD and type “X” like this

4. Press Ctrl+E to merge both layer

5. Now move to channels tab

6. Click the blue channel and drag into new channel icon for duplicate it

7. Double click on the Blue Copy text and rename it into “original”

8. Duplicate the original and name it “white”

9. Press and hold ctrl button and use Ur mouse to click the white channel to select the X font

10. choose Select->Modify->Expand and fill it with 2 px
