  • Clean Up Google Adsense Channels

    How can I clean up my Google AdSense Channels? Thats first question when see how mess my channels was. Hope this artcle able to help you. I found this article this morning ^^

    This article was writen by Dave Taylor

    I’ve been an AdSense publisher for over a year and have been very pleased with all Google has to offer. I’m now thinking of starting a new site and again incorporating AdSense. Here’s my problem … as with many things in life, I took the ‘learn as you go’ approach with AdSense. When that specifically applies to ‘channels’ in the AdSense program, things are disorangized to say the least. And now that I want to add a new site, things would get even worse. Is there any way to clean things up or start from scratch? Thank you.

    This is a common problem with Google AdSense, actually, because when you’re just starting you don’t bother with the advanced features like being able to differentiate results by using site or style specific channels. Fortunately, it is something you can clean up!

    I would start by reading through my tutorial on getting started with Google AdSense Channels to see how they work and how you can add just a single line to your existing AdSense code blocks to enable this feature.

    Then go into the AdSense management area and create a number of new channels, either one for each of your sites or one for each of your AdSense blocks (for example, you could have “copjokes” for your police joke and humor site and “textlinks1″ for your primary textlinks block). If you want to track things with more granularity, consider having hybrid channel names as I do, like “copjokes-bigrect” or “furniture-store-textlinks”. It all depends on how much effort you want to put into it, of course: the more channels you have, the better you can ascertain exactly how each ad block on each of your sites is doing, but, well, it’s more work to set up thirty different channels than three.

    Since you already have AdSense on your pages, however, the good news is that once you do establish a channel within the AdSense system, all you need to do is paste a single line into the existing adblocks to get everything to work. For example, if I wanted to change a stock AdSense block to one that included a channel, I’d simply add google_ad_channel =”7151328846″; to the block, producing something like this:

    <script type=”text/javascript”><!–
    google_ad_client = “pub-XXXXXXXXXX”;
    google_ad_width = 728;
    google_ad_height = 90;
    google_ad_format = “728×90_as”;
    google_ad_type = “text”;
    google_ad_channel =”7151328846″;
    //–></script>
    <script type=”text/javascript”
    src=”http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js”>
    </script>

    Hopefully you have your sites set up with templates of some sort or perhaps utilize server-side includes so that your AdSense code is in one file rather than duplicated across hundreds of pages that will need to be edited by hand. If you don’t have things set up that way, now is a great time to learn how to change it.

    11 Ways That Google Detects Invalid Clicks

    Written by awans — published on July 13th, 2007
    3 weeks ago

    We always hear that Google has a sophisticated system to detect the invalid clicks, and result in termination of the cheaters’ account. But, how can Google do that? In this post, I summarize those ways that Google depends on to detect whether the clicks on your site are invalid or not. Google will not first ban your account immediately. Rather, they will first flag your account and Google will keep a closer eye to your account. In some occasion, they may send you a warning letter to notify your situation; but sometimes not.

    1. IP Address

    It is the easist and must be recognized by everyone. If those clicks on your ads are originated from the same IP Address as the one used for accessing your AdSense account, your account is flagged.

    2. Click Through Rate (CTR)

    Normally, Click thru Rate should not excees 10%. Otherwise, Google will flag your account. For your information, normal CTR should ranges from 0.5% - 10%.

    3. Physical Location

    Google has good tracing software and technology.They can trace traffics origin down to the small town. So, using different computers with different IP address does not secure anything. So, don’t try to click your ads in various internet cafes. That will kill you.

    4. Cookies

    Most home users do not use static IP Address for Internet connection. In most cases just disconnect and reconnect will give you a new IP Address. But don’t forget, Google has set cookies on your computer. They can trace these cookies and see whether they originate from the same computer.

    5. Click Pattern 1

    It is also suspicious when people click on their clicks and then run away immediately (hit-and-run). But normally, people will surf for a while inside your pages and then click on the ads they want.

    6. Click Pattern 2

    why this computer / IP address / person is so trigger-click-happy on this particular website but never click on the ads on other sites?

  • I’m shock when read this msg at adsense-id forum

    setelah 4 kali cair, tadi pagi dapet lagi.
    semoga yang lain gak dapet !!!!
    Hello Ngocok setiabudi SH.MM.ADS,

    It has come to our attention that invalid clicks and/or impressions have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s). We have therefore disabled your Google AdSense account. Please understand that this was a necessary step to protect the interests of AdWords advertisers.

    As you may know, a publisher’s site may not have invalid clicks or impressions on any ad(s), including but not limited to clicks and/or impressions generated by:

    - a publisher on his own web pages
    - a publisher encouraging others to click on his ads
    - automated clicking or surfing programs, or any other deceptive software
    - a publisher altering any portion of the ad code or changing the layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason

    These or any other such activities that violate Google AdSense Terms and Conditions and program polices may have led us to disable your account. The Terms and Conditions and program polices can be viewed at:
    https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms?hl=en_US
    https://www.google.com/adsense/policies?hl=en_US

    If you have any questions about invalid activity or the action taken on your account, please do not reply to this email. You can find more information by visiting
    https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=57153.

    Sincerely,

    The Google AdSense Team

    Thats surprised me a lot. Ngocok is one of adsense master who has earning almost 4 digit. And he getting banned.

    As newbie at adsense (I just running this site for 1 month and 4 days), I’m afraid what if adsense banned me. When I read at forum, some people getting banned even they play fair. maybe Adsense has their own rules about it and no explanations why they get banned (U can see how google send banning email)

    I read many experiment from other Indonesian adsensers. they said “Its really important to get traffic from search Engine and non Indonesian visitor.”

    Thats why I search article to prevent getting banned from adsense. I read some article and I like this one. And hope it also prevent us to getting banned from adsense. Play fair! Maybe thats the simple key.
