Tutorial to Upload file to Web Using File Transfer Protocol FTP

Even though I already wrote tutorial the simplest way to upload web file

I still get many request how to use FTP programs. That’s why I try to make it clearer.

If you still do not know what is FTP, you should read  Here first

You able to download so many FTP software in internet. But my favorite is ACE FTP since it is free and has good services.

1. Open ACE FTP. The icon will be like this.

3. File->Connect (Ctrl+W) to determinate the site profile

4. Right click on the white field and choose Create Site Profile (Ctrl+S)
Descriptive name : Just a name to determine your site. Its up to you
ID : Is your website name
Pass : Is your FTP password. It mostly same with you cpanel password. But if you set at FTP panel, you can make your own password
Server : Your ftp address (ftp.blabla.com)
Port : put in default (21)

5. Press NEXT
Enter Local Folder : Browse folder where you kept your website file
Enter Host Folder : Keep it empty if you don’t remember your server folder path where you should put your data in.

6. Press Finish

7. You will see your NEW FTP profile and double click it. FTP will connecting to server.

8. If you want to enter to certain folder, just double click the folder. Same way when you want to find file at windows explorer in ‘folder menu’.

9. If you want to upload just select the file and press BLUE ARROW THAT POINTING TO RIGHT. And to delete, create folder etc, the button is on the right side. Pls see picture for more information
